Heisman Winner Bryce Young Suffers Season-Ending Injury

USC Quarterback Lost for Year After Leg Injury

Young Hurt in Second Quarter of Game Against Utah

LOS ANGELES (AP) – USC quarterback Bryce Young, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, has suffered a season-ending leg injury, the school announced Monday.

Young, a redshirt freshman from California, was injured in the second quarter of USC’s game against Utah on Saturday. He was taken off the field on a stretcher and did not return.

An MRI on Monday revealed that Young tore his ACL and MCL, according to a source close to the program. He is expected to miss the rest of the season.

The injury is a major blow to USC, which is ranked No. 4 in the country. Young is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the nation and was considered a Heisman Trophy contender this season.

The Trojans will now turn to redshirt sophomore Jaxon Dart to lead their offense. Dart has started two games this season and has thrown for 567 yards and four touchdowns.
