Former White Fern brings playing and selection experience to the role
Tsukigawa played 50 ODIs and 25 T20Is for New Zealand between 2006 and 2014
Sarah Tsukigawa has been named as the new women's selector for New Zealand Cricket (NZC).
Tsukigawa, who played 50 one-day internationals and 25 Twenty20 internationals for the White Ferns between 2006 and 2014, will join fellow selector Greg Loveridge on the panel.
She will be responsible for selecting the New Zealand women's team for all three formats of the game.
Tsukigawa brings a wealth of experience to the role
Tsukigawa has a wealth of experience in both playing and selecting cricket teams.
As a player, she was a member of the White Ferns team that won the ICC Women's World Cup in 2000.
She also played in three Commonwealth Games and two ICC Women's Twenty20 World Cups.
Tsukigawa is excited about the opportunity to give back to the game
Tsukigawa said she is excited about the opportunity to give back to the game that has given her so much.
"I am passionate about women's cricket and I want to help the White Ferns be the best team in the world," she said.
"I believe I have the experience and the knowledge to make a positive contribution to the team and I am looking forward to working with Greg Loveridge and the other selectors to help the White Ferns achieve their goals."
NZC is confident Tsukigawa will be a valuable addition to the selection panel
NZC chief executive David White said Tsukigawa is a valuable addition to the selection panel.
"Sarah has a proven track record as a player and a selector," he said.
"She knows the game inside out and she has a great understanding of the women's cricket landscape.
"I am confident she will be a valuable addition to the selection panel and I look forward to working with her to help the White Ferns achieve their goals."
